Pricing Policy
While quotes provided by Spruce Scoop are typically accurate, the final price will be confirmed after an inspection during the initial visit. We will communicate any price adjustments before starting services.
For paused services, a re-start requires initial cleaning fees before resuming the monthly service plan.
Payment Policy
- Initial and One-Time Cleanups: Payment is due before service.
- Monthly Service: For monthly customers following an initial cleanup, billing occurs for the remaining month on the second visit.
- Recurring Services: Payment is due on the first of each month before services. If payment is not received on time, a $10 late fee may be applied, and services will be paused until payment is received.
Our monthly fee covers a 52-week calendar averaged over 12 months, so no extra charges apply for months with five weeks.
Winter Policy
Spruce Scoop operates year-round in all safe weather conditions. If a week is skipped due to weather, we’ll conduct a double service the following week, maintaining full monthly charges. Winter subscribers receive a spring cleanup without additional fees.
No Access Policy
If we cannot access the yard due to a locked gate or other barrier, the full cleaning fee still applies. We’ll perform double service the next week. Our technician will attempt to notify the customer via knock and call before leaving.
Dangerous Pet Policy
Though our technicians are mostly comfortable with dogs of all breed and sizes, we ask that you keep your dog(s) secured inside while we are in the yard. If a pet poses a danger and we are unable to clean the yard, the full charge applies, and we’ll conduct double service the following week. We’ll attempt to contact you before leaving.
Obstructions Affecting Waste Removal
We do our best to keep your yard clean, but we can only pick up what’s visible to us. If the yard is covered with leaves, snow, or other debris that hides the waste, we won’t be able to remove it during our visit. To help us provide the best service, we kindly ask that you keep the yard clear of obstructions like leaves or snow before your scheduled day. Don’t worry—on our next visit, we’ll make up for it by doing a thorough cleanup and taking care of any waste that was previously hidden!
Cancellation Policy
Spruce Scoop Dog Waste Removal has no service contracts, allowing cancellation anytime with 48-hour notice. Customers can cancel via phone or the customer portal. Paused services may require an initial or spring cleanup fee upon reactivation. If service is canceled mid-month, a prorated refund will be issued.
